Vacation Scheme
Applications for our 2024 work placements will open in June 2023
Our vacation scheme placements last for one week and we guarantee you a hands on and relevant experience from our friendly and supportive staff from the very beginning!
Your Vacation Scheme
During a weeks' vacation scheme with Spire Solicitors you will be based from our Norwich City Centre office for the majority of time shadowing a different department each day. We also like to incorporate a day at one of our branch offices during this week if suitable so that you can view the inner workings of one of our other offices!
We are able to offer ten placements between April and September each year, within five of the following departments:
- Private Client
- Corporate and Commercial
- Residential Property
- Commercial Property
- Litigation
- Family
During your vacation scheme you will have the opportunity to draft, carry out research, make telephone calls and where possible attend Client meetings and Court hearings. You will also have access to our current trainees who are more than willing to share their own experiences and answer any questions you may have.
Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from University students who are either in their second or third year studying a law degree. If you are looking to start your career in a Law firm following completion of your degree this is a great place to start and will give you valuable insight into the way a firm works.
The Process
Following receipt of applications, candidates will then be shortlisted for a telephone interview where they discuss what they are looking to do career-wise and what they hope to gain from carrying out a work placement with Spire Solicitors.
You will be asked if you have any preference as to seats that you carry out your placement in and also which dates are preferable.
