Learning & Development Advisor

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Learning & Development Advisor to join our HR team and play a key role in shaping how our colleagues learn, develop, and progress.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the Firm’s development strategy, collaborate with leaders across departments, and ensure our people have access to the tools and training they need to excel.
The Role
As our L&D Advisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our learning and development activity—promoting opportunities, coordinating training, and ensuring that all learning initiatives run smoothly and effectively.
You’ll work closely with the wider HR team to support the full employee lifecycle, contribute to organisational development projects, and help us continuously improve the way we support our people.
What You’ll Be Doing
Learning & Training Planning
Coordinating the firms’ e‑learning programme across employment, H&S, wellbeing, IT, and compliance.
Working with IT, Facilities, and Compliance to plan and deliver training.
Identifying learning needs from appraisals, manager feedback, and business requirements to support annual learning plans.
Induction
Coordinating induction plans and mandatory training for all new starters.
Assigning HR training and providing new joiners with structured L&D communications and support.
Trainee Solicitor & CILEX Programme
Managing trainee induction and supporting with SRA registration processes.
Coordinating training schedules, bookings, and any required travel.
Supporting catch‑ups with the Training Principal.
Tracking CILEX candidate progress and managing invoices.
Work Experience Programme
Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of our work experience placements.
Liaising with departments to assign supervisors and buddies.
Managing communication with candidates and ensuring all checks and paperwork are completed.
Learning & Development Administration
Promoting L&D opportunities and supporting staff to access development pathways.
Coordinating all aspects of training bookings, approvals, and administration.
Managing training records within our HR system and maintaining accurate tracking.
Preparing and sending training communications, reminders, room bookings and (where needed) catering arrangements.
Producing and developing learning materials.
Maintaining a learning calendar and ensuring our intranet L&D pages are kept up to date.
Supporting the planning and delivery of bespoke internal training events.
Monitoring attendance, collating evaluation feedback, and helping measure learning impact.
Managing training agreements, including repayment clauses where required.
Supporting utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy and apprenticeship programmes.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you are:

A strong communicator who builds relationships with ease across all levels.
Someone who enjoys problem‑solving, improving processes, and bringing ideas forward.
Confident using HR systems and administrative tools.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive HR team.
Experience in an L&D or HR environment is desirable, but we’re equally keen on meeting candidates with transferable skills and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development.
We are looking for someone with either full time or part time but where hours worked include most days but may be shorter than your normal 9am to 5pm.
